I have followed with great sadness the shooting in Las Vegas, as many have. As much as I hate to admit it, such events seem to be becoming more frequent, especially in recent years. And each, it seems, come with the tag "the worst in modern history." One wonders if it can get much worse. We all know, unfortunately, that it can. We live in a violent world. The question for myself every day is how can I bring Christ more into this violent world? How can I help others who have hate in their hearts to see that there is another way? And how can I help those who are victims of violence know the comfort of Christ? I think that the answer is mass love. Mass caring. Mass forgiveness.
Ahhh... After four months of work, Trinity finally has a new website. Combined with the recent introduction of the Trinit-e electronic newsletter and a new format for the mailed newsletter (arriving and day now at your home) our communications have been dramatically improved. The purchase of new software and many hours of work made all of this possible. And there is more to come! Look for more communication outlets coming soon. A very special "thank you" to Brother Vincent, OSB, for his many efforts to keep consistent communications coming, especially in the last year.
We have also hired a new part-time communications director who will take the lead in managing all parish communications, among other duties. The new director's name is Katie Ernst. Katie began work a couple of weeks ago and is already producing wonderful work. We are very glad that she has joined Team Trinity. Brother Vincent will now lead pastoral care and altar ministry efforts, in addition to his role as Director of Music.
Exciting times are ahead for Trinity Church!
